The power of games and sports in building character and camaraderie has widely been acknowledged across cultures around the world. This same idea took 26 of the country’s finest young leaders that are representing the nation as Philippine youth ambassadors to the 36th Ship for Southeast Asian Youth Program (SSEAYP) to LazerXtreme on their first team-builing activity.

SSEAYP, a diplomatic exchange program among emerging youth leaders in Asia, which is sponsored annually by the Cabinet Office of Japan, chooses more than 300 youth delegates from 11 countries in Asia to promote and strengthen friendships and cultural understanding within the region.

For 52 days, from Oct. 27 to Dec. 18, these delegates will be on board the cruiseliner, Nippon Maru, visiting Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Brunei Darussalam, and Japan. This year, the Philippines will be one of the ports of call - a golden opportunity for meaningful cultural and information exchange.

“We are introducing LazerXtreme not just as a venue for leisure but also as a venue for molding the minds of the young,” said Ian Navarrete, LazerXtreme general manager. “We are grateful to the SSEAYP community for giving us the opportunity to partner with them.”
