A 4.4-magnitude earthquake struck Davao Oriental on Monday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) reported.
The earthquake, which occurred at 8:24 a.m., was tectonic in origin and was traced 42 kilometers northeast of Baganga, Davao Oriental.
The quake had a depth of 19 km, with the following instrumental intensities: Intensity II - Bislig City, Surigao del Sur; Intensity I - Malungon, Sarangani; GIngoog City, Misamis Oriental
No damage and aftershocks are expected from the tremor.
