(KEVIN TRISTAN ESPIRITU / MANILA BULLETIN) Sotto shared on social media a screenshot of a post which claimed that the 30-year-old mayor has knowledge of the alleged anomalous contract on garbage collection. “Alam niyo kung sino ang magiging susunod na kontraktor ng basura sa Pasig? Kung sino ang mananalo sa public bidding (Do you know who will be the next garbage contractor in Pasig? Whoever wins the public bidding),” Sotto stressed. “Nakakatawa lang na parang gusto yata nila ng ungkatan. Talaga ba? Final answer na ba nila 'to? (It’s just funny that they seem to be wanting to recall things, Really? Is this their final answer?)” asked Sotto, who oftentimes avoided taking a swipe to his political opponents. “Sinusubukan sana nating mag-‘move on’ na, para sa kapakanan ng lahat. Pero kung patuloy nilang susubukang lasunin ang utak ng iba sa kanilang mga kasinungalingan (We are trying to ‘move on’ already, for the sake of everyone. But if they continue to try poisoning the minds of others with their lies),” Sotto said, leaving his sentence hanging. The millennial mayor ended his post with hashtags “#DesperateMoves” and “#ReportTheTrolls.”
