Lead cloud computing vendor NetSuite Inc. is doubling its Manila workforce from 300 to 600 to service top local firms — Jollibee, ABS-CBN, Diamond Fleet Management System, and MOTECH Automotive Education Center, Inc., as well as state entities like the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR).

“Manila 's strong, businessfriendly infrastructure has been a tremendous asset to NetSuite, along with a top-notch educational system and well-spoken, service-driven employees," professed CEO Zach Nelson.

Add to that, global companies headquartered in Manila have accepted NetSuite’s cloud-based business applications products. “It’s a great testament to our strength in meeting the needs of local industry leaders,” he added.

At present, Manila serves as a key center for NetSuite's global technical support, services and back-office operations and needs to expand to include product development and quality assurance capabilities.

Established in January 2007, NetSuite's Manila office is the company's largest office location outside the United States. Mother company, NetSuite Inc. is a leading vendor of cloud computing business software suites.

NetSuite enables mid-market companies to manage core business operations in a single system, which includes Accounting/Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and Ecommerce.

NetSuite's patent-pending "realtime dashboard" technology provides an easy-to-use view into up-to-date, role-specific business information.

The BIR is now using NetSuite Version 2009.2, a new localized product, for key tax compliance, reporting and data export requirements.

The BIR has endorsed the localized offering by awarding certification for NetSuite to use the product itself for its local operations.

Jollibee, one of the world’s largest fast food chains operating over 1,800 stores in Asia and North America, testified that NetSuite provides all the capabilities it needs internationally, in a timeframe and at a cost that supports continued growth and development.

“If we used a platform like Oracle worldwide, it would require significant capital investment and a lot of resources, including a large IT team to implement and maintain the system in each country,” Ysmael Baysa, Jollibee CFO reasoned.

On the other hand, NetSuite makes it easier to evaluate and enhance ABS-CBN Global’s products and to create new bundles of services for different customers,” CIO Genemar Simpao acknowledged.

“NetSuite provides the functionality and flexibility we need, with a reduced initial cost outlay.”

ABS-CBN Global is the international content distribution subsidiary of ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corporation, the Philippine-based multimedia conglomerate.

For, Diamond, the country’s leading car rental firm, “NetSuite has consistently improved our awareness of every aspect of the company and thus improving decision-making, which is why we are committed to expanding it to all of our operating divisions,” remarked Quincy Buenaflor, VP-Operations, Diamond Fleet Management System.

Finally, “We were able to open two more branches this year, thanks to NetSuite,” disclosed Eugene Naguiat, President of MOTECH Automotive “Setting up shop now only takes a few weeks instead of the months it took with our previous system.”

MOTECH Automotive’s chain of automotive ser vice centers cater to over 20,000 customers nationwide.
