US-Based Mercito Gesta will be in for a rough night when he attempts to wrest the World Boxing Association lightweight crown from Venezuelan Jorge Linares this Saturday night (Sunday morning in Manila) at the Forum in Los Angeles. Gesta, originally from Cebu, as been training diligently and will be the first Filipino fighter to vie for a world crown this year.
