Jean Todt will replace Max Mosley as the new president of the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA). The former Ferrari team boss succeeds Mosley after winning the elections last week in Paris.

Todt ran against Ari Vatanen who is a former world rally champion. A total of 184 votes were cast during last Friday’s election with 135 going to Todt.

The entire voting procedure was supervised by Huissier de Justice which is a French state-appointed public witness.
