The Catholic Women’s Club celebrated the 88th year of it’s continuing service to God and the community with a ball dubbed “Ang Ating Kahapon sa Ngayon” at the Manila Polo Club on September 11, 2009. In harmony with the Filipiniana theme, it featured a Rigodon de Honor and a Paso Doble dance numbers.

The event aimed to raise funds for the CWC’s various service projects. Major benefactors are Imelda Cojuangco, Esther Vibal, Carlo and Donna Caparas, Santiago Lee, Cynthia Villar, Mellie Ablaza and PAGCOR.

The Steering Committee was composed of Nonie Basilio, Karen Macasaet , Rose Lazaro, Mabel Abano, Rosita Lesaca,  Lili Adina, Carrie Bautista, Tes Briones, Tessie Castro, Thelma Gana, Mimi and Nikki Valerio, Lulu Castaneda, Kim Lokin,Tessie Amparo, Shirley Uy, Baby Gloria, Nene Leonor, Nene Casimiro, Nenuca Blardony, Rose Hugo, and Terry Tambunting, Usherettes; and Lin Liboro.
