Pedicab driver shot dead
A 27-year-old pedicab driver was killed while his cousin was seriously wounded when an unidentified armed man shot them in Binondo, Manila last Friday evening, police said Saturday.
Angelo Corpin, a resident of Gate 54 Area C, Parola compound, Binondo, Manila, was declared dead on arrival at a hospital from multiple gunshot wounds.
Jet Lee Corpin, 16, is now being treated at the Philippine Orthopedic Hospital for a single bullet wound on his right arm.
The shooting incident took place at around 7 p.m., Friday near the Iglesia ni Cristo chapel at Gate 54, Parola compound, Binondo, Manila, according to Police Officer 2 Jay Santos of the Manila Police District – Homicide section.
The victims were watching television at a mini store near their house when the unidentified armed suspect passed by and shot at them using a still undetermined fire arm, Santos said. (Leonard D. Postrado)
