Bayan Telecommunications provides voice mail for Boto Mo, Patrol Mo

Maverick telecommunications company, Bayan Telecommunications (Bayan) supports every Filipino’s right to be heard by providing communications technology for the upcoming national elections.

By partnering with ABS-CBN Network, the telco will be providing hotlines for Boto Mo, i-Patrol Mo (BMPM)—a responsible citizenship campaign in line with the May 2010 elections. Following their thrust of letting the Filipino voice be heard, Bayan encourages BMPM patrollers to call and report observations, reactions or commentaries regarding the elections.

Recently, Bayan’s hotline number, 411-2676 or 411-BMPM, has integrated its line with a voice mail capability so that the reports may be recorded and properly documented. These voice recorded calls may be featured in ABS-CBN’s news report on TV and on radio.

“Inherent to the company’s philosophy and values, Bayan seeks to empower the Boto Mo, Patrol Mo (BMPM) campaign by providing communication channels in a time where everyone’s opinion counts,” said John Rojo, Bayan’s VP for Corporate and Communications.

All they have to do is simply register as a BMPM patroller so they can begin doing their election reports through Bayan. “Pushing for cleaner elections is, after all, a social responsibility that everyone should always be ready to fulfill.”
