Nowitzki scores club record 29 in fourth quarter

DALLAS, Texas, November 3, 2009 (AFP) - Dirk Nowitzki exploded in the fourth quarter by scoring a club-record 29 points in the final quarter to lift the Dallas Mavericks to a 96-85 win over the Utah Jazz.
Nowitzki carried the team on his back as Dallas trailed by 16 points in the fourth before rallying. Nowitzki finished with 40 points, 11 rebounds, five assists, and five blocks.
Jason Kidd added 19 points and six assists for Dallas, who have won three straight since a season-opening loss to Washington.
Deron Williams led Utah with 22 points and Mehmet Okur scored 14 and grabbed 14 rebounds for the Jazz.
