Bernabe tops survey for Parañaque mayor
Parañaque City Mayor Florencio “Jun’’ Bernabe recently bagged the lead in an informal survey conducted by poll outfit Metro Tracking in 16 barangays of the city.
The survey was conducted with a sampling of 1,200 respondents, with a confidence level of 96 percent and a margin of error of 3.9 percent. Respondents are all of voting age: 18 to 65 and older, representing classes A, B, C1, C2, D1, D2, and E.
The four-way race for the mayoralty in Parañaque City is being led by incumbent mayor Florencio “Jun” Bernabe, pegging a score of 36 percent.
Running a close second is former mayor Joey “Tsong” Marquez with 34 percent, while Eduardo “Edza” Zialcita and former mayor Pablo Olivarez lagged behind with 18 percent and 12 percent, respectively.
The race for the vice mayor is likewise close, with Augusto “Gus” Tambunting in the lead with 42 percent; Rico Golez, son of Parañaque representative Roilo Golez, is pegged at 27 percent; Eric Olivarez and Doods Antipuesto fell behind at 18 percent and 13 percent, respectively.
Metro Tracking is also conducting a metro-wide and countrywide survey on possible candidates for higher posts within the year and the coming months of next year.
