University of Santo Tomas guns for a sweep of the elimination round this Friday when it tackles defending champion San Sebastian College in the second conference of the sixth Shakey’s V League at The Arena in San Juan City.

Game time is 6 p.m. with both teams expected to come out fiercer in the remake of their first conference finals showdown last June where the Tigresses triumphed in a come-from-behind fashion despite the absence of star players.

The Tigresses, who swept the elims in the previous conference, are slightly-favored to notch their seventh straight win owing to their deeper bench against the SSC lasses, who lost to graduation five players from their starting line up.
