A Celebrations Fair aims to bring you quality vendors that can supply your celebration needs Have you ever had to plan an event, big or small? What if that event is your wedding day? Gasp! Choosing your wedding date has a lot of factors every couple needs to consider carefully. For some, it’s probably your anniversary date. For others, it may be a a “lucky day” for the couple. But no matter what, it goes without saying that June is the most popular month to get married. Why? It’s because the month of June, which was named after the Roman goddess Juno, is considered to be the luckiest month to have a wedding since Juno was the goddess of love and marriage. Are wedding plans on the horizon? Are wedding plans on the horizon? Yes, the bridal season is in the air and since I work in the beauty industry, I also get to be part of the one of the most memorable days of any couple’s life. It’s actually one of the reasons why I started my own one-stop shop for all your beauty needs: Luxe Bridal Beauty. Luxe Bridal Beauty will make you look and feel absolutely beautiful and radiant for any occasion. Everyone knows that hair and makeup is one of the many things every couple carefully considers for their wedding day. But what if you want to take matters in your own hands and be your own wedding planner? @abbeyaledo from Instagram asks: “Hi Jake! I just got engaged a few days ago and I’m currently contemplating if I should hire a wedding planner. I’m already starting to feel overwhelmed with everything that needs to be done before the wedding day. From looking for good and trusted suppliers to searching for the perfect venue. I work as a hotel supervisor and I thought this job was easy! Haha! Since you’re a bridal expert, do you think I should hire one?!” Yes, planning an event like your wedding day can be overwhelming. You will have to find your own suppliers, weigh all the pros and cons, compare prices—all down to the very last detail. Here are some things to consider when deciding whether or not to get a wedding planner: Time. Wedding planning is time-consuming. If you are your own wedding planner, you are basically responsible for everything from start to finish. While this can be fun and exciting, it can be problematic if you miss something. Experience. Do you or any of your family or friends have event planning background? It’s definitely an advantage if you can get your family or friends involved in different stages of the wedding plans. Their personal knowledge and experience can help you navigate the planning process better. They can even refer you to tried-and-tested suppliers. Budget. Planning a wedding is going to be very costly. But don’t fret—you can work your way around your desired budget accordingly. Having a professional wedding planner would probably be too expensive but don’t forget that there are also those who fit the bill and can even recommend suppliers and vendors to help you save more money. Whatever your decision will be, I am sure you will enjoy the journey. But just to make things easier, I highly suggest you visit a bridal fair. Toast! A Celebrations Fair is a must for anyone who is planning a special occasion. Wedding authority Bride & Breakfast and motherhood and parenthood blog Baby & Breakfast have teamed up with event’s organizer Trendsetter Team to launch Manila’s first contemporary celebrations fair this June 9 and 10 at the World Trade Center. Toast! will feature over 150 of Manila’s seasoned and up-and-coming event suppliers who are ready to offer their services at a special rate for the two-day affair. “This is essentially an event for all events and we are excited with the lineup of suppliers who will be participating, shared Lace Tan, Trendsetter Team events manager. “We want people to be able to view recent works and chat up photographers, videographers, designers, makeup artists, venues, caterers, stylists, decorators, event coordinators, and all other event suppliers in person to find if they are the right match for them and their party.” The two-day event will also feature free talks by event professionals on various topics, such as wedding planning, makeup tips and trends, and even a special talk by sought-after speaker Francis Kong on understanding gender differences for better relationships. Janna Simpao, founder of Bride & Breakfast said, “The goal of the fair has always been one that is deeply aligned to both the Bride &Breakfast and Baby & Breakfast, which is to make planning for your special celebration much easier.”   Toast! A Celebrations Fair is on June 9 and 10, 11am to 9pm, at Hall a, World Trade Center, Pasay City.
