Fan to sacrifice cat to get Miley Cyrus back on Twitter
Desperate times call for desperate measures.
A diehard Miley Cyrus fan has threatened to make a meal out of her pet cat if the teen star doesn’t go back on Twitter.
“It was very difficult for me, you see, as I sincerely love Fuzzy [cat’s name]. But my mind is made up..
“I could always get another cat, but nothing can replace Miley's tweets for me!” said the fan on the “Miley Save Fuzzy” website which she herself put up on Oct 24.
“She [Miley] just can't give something so great to the world and then take it back completely, just like that!”
Miley deleted her account on Oct. 8 reportedly upon the advice of her rumored boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth.
The “cat lady” (in Miley’s own words) gave the teen star until Nov. 16 to reopen it.
“I want to make sure she's active again (even if she's less active than before, that's her choice). Which is why, at first, every time Miley tweets, Fuzzy's cooking deadline extends by one week.
“After I see she's pretty much active again and she's making several tweets on a somewhat regular basis, the idea of cooking Fuzzy will be abandoned.”
“Cat lady” also addressed those who might see her as just another crazy fan.
“This is NOT a prank or a hoax. I am not joking, even if some will choose to interpret it that way… If Miley doesn't tweet again, this WILL happen, and I'm as serious as a heart attack,” said she.
However, some of those who were more concerned on the cat’s welfare than Miley’s tweets, flooded various animal rights organizations of their complaints.
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), a global animal rights organization, said that “only seven states in the U.S. have laws against eating dogs and cats,” which, unfortunately, does not include the state where “Cat lady” resides.
Meanwhile, The Humane Society (a U.S. animal protection organization) clarified that threatening to kill animals is not criminal.
“Sadly, animal cruelty is a crime that really isn’t an offense until it occurs- threatening is not criminal.”
The “Hannah Montana” star couldn’t care less about the impending ‘cat’-astrophe.
“Everyone was stressing out about it more than I was. There’s some ‘cat lady,’ like ‘Fuzzy’ or something… But I’m not getting back to Twitter.
“Things like that are a little bit crazy, but you have to respect someone’s decision. You can’t, like, threaten people,” she said in a recent interview.
Miley had denied rumors that Liam prompted her to delete her account.
In a video titled “Good-bye Twitter” which was posted on YouTube the day after she closed her official page which had over two million followers, the teen star addressed the speculations by rapping to lyrics that read:
“No it wasn't because my friend told me to / Y'all know very well what you say I don't do… I stopped living for moments / and started living for people.”
