A Communist New People's Army (NPA) terrorist, who has been operating in the Bicol Region, was arrested in Norzagaray, Bulacan on Thursday.
The NPA member, whose name was temporarily withheld, was nabbed at Barangay Bigte, Norzagaray, Bulacan at about 10:30 a.m.

The arrested rebel had a standing warrants of arrest for murder and multiple frustrated murder issued in 2011.
Accorrding to the military, information provided by the people in the community led to the capture of the suspect.
Joint elements from the Seventh Infantry (Kaugnay) Division together with the Ninth Infantry (Spear) Division, the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Bulacan and Philippine National Police (PNP)-Bulacan acted on the information provided by the residents in the area.
The arrested CNT is in the custody of CIDG for further investigation.
“The joint operations of the Army and the PNP within the area of the 7th ID yielded significant results. It is proven not only in the arrest Communist terrorists in Central Luzon, but also in our campaign against insurgency and security-related endeavors," Brig. Gen. Lenard T. Agustin, 7th ID acting commander said.
"Rest assured that the Army and PNP will strengthen its relationship to attain just and lasting peace in our area," he added.
Agustin also warned other NPAs that the Army and PNP will hunt them down. He said that the rebels must choose to surrender to the government and have the chance to start anew.
He also said that rebels with warrants of arrest will face the consequences of their crimes and will be given his day in court to answer the charges.
Agustin added that the rights of the arrested suspects will be respected.
