The million dollar pledge by power progeny Zhang Chang Guo from China, accompanied by Princess Merriam Kiram, climaxed the “Only Love Remains” three-night concert held at The Peninsula Manila.  The pledge was earmarked for the New Thought Foundation of George Sison.

CCP Vice-president pianist Raul Sunico masterfully interpreted George’s compositions and premier balladeer Bo Cerrudo sang the songs.  Guest singer was the inimitable Pilita Corrales.  Pilita had recorded and popularized George’s love songs years back, including the famous “What Name Shall I Give You My Love”.    Some of the songs were recited as poems by thespians Lloyd Young and Roselyn Perez. The show was directed and conceived by Freddie Santos, with The Manila Philharmonic under Rodel Colmenar.
