A member of the Philippine Army died while another was seriously injured after they were gunned down by unidentified suspects in Parañaque City the other night.

Corporal Joseph Dumagui died on the spot after succumbing to multiple bullet wounds in different parts of his body while his companion was seriously wounded during the shooting.

Initial investigation by the Parañaque City Police showed that the incident happened at 10:15 p.m. at the Bicutan Interchange.

The victims were travelling along the highway when unidentified suspects suddenly peppered them with bullets. After the shooting, the suspects quickly left, leaving stunned motorists to rush the victims to the hospital.

Police are still conducting an investigation on the case and are still clueless as to the motive behind the shooting.

Also in Parañaque, one was killed and two others seriously injured when shot by a man allegedly under the influence of liquor after a heated argument Saturday night.
