Tyrone Charles Solee considers Robert Kiyosaki's bestselling book "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" his bible and it in due time, his blog espousing time-tested financial principles was born. He aptly titled his site Millionaire Acts and is now one of the most popular in the local blogosphere in the field of personal finance and investments. By day, Solee works as a "competititve intelligence analyst" for RR Donnelley Philippines and prior to that, his work was as a research analyst for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in a law firm.Learning all about the distressed firms and their foreclosed assets gave him the lesson that in life, money management is all that matters.

Q. Please tell us how you came up with your blog. What were your goals in putting up the site?
A. My interests in investments, business and personal finance propelled me to start the blog. I have been investing since I’m 22 years old starting with mutual funds and unit investment trust funds. Part of the goal in setting up my blog is to have a monthly update that showcases the developments in increasing my net worth – where do I invest my money, what are the returns, what are the causes for the yields, etc. However, since I went out of the stock market, I did not continue updating that portion of my blog.
Aside from that, I also see my blog (found at http://www.millionaireacts.com) as a venue for me to be known in my field of expertise. I even included it as part of my resume to increase my career opportunities.

Q. What's the best thing that happened to you since you started blogging?
A. Probably the best thing that happened to me since I started blogging is the time I received a text message from a Chief Executive Officer of a major multinational insurance firm. I got a text from him offering me a career opportunity in his firm. He got my number in my blog and was amazed at the things I write.
In addition to that, I also received two calls direct from Canada before offering me to be a pioneer of a multi-level marketing company that they will set up here in the Philippines. Unfortunately, I think MLM is not for me and so I rejected.

Q. What are the blogging rules
and principles you live by?
A. If your blog is a niche blog, then stick to it. Always make sure to provide value to your readers by helping them. They would love you for that. Make sure also that you respond to their questions in comments or emails if they need help. In addition to that, learn to socialize with other bloggers as well. As they say, no man is an island. Participate in forums within your niche and visit other blogs too and leave comments. It’s how you market your blog. A quality blog with no readers has no value. Furthermore, always site your resources if you are providing some facts. The credibility of your article resides on your sources.

Q. What do you think makes for a successful
blog/blogger?
A. A successful blog helps people. He has the ability to influence other people in their decisions and actions. With his skills in providing good content and socializing with other bloggers, he attracts a lot of visitors in his blog. A successful blogger has able to establish a brand name for his blog.
