TABACO CITY, Albay — An intelligence agent of the Office of the Transportation Security (OTS) based at the Legazpi City Airport was among four suspects arrested by anti-narcotics agents in this city on Wednesday.
Christian Frivaldo, who heads the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Bicol, identified the OTS intel agent as Alexis C. Bodoso, 34, who was arrested in a buy-bust operation with three of his alleged cohorts.
Arrested along with Bodoso were Senaca C. Bodoso, 40, a construction worker; Maximo P. Bodoso, 66, a cock breeder; and Felipe A. Montealegre, 29, a construction worker.
Frivaldo said a fifth suspect – a certain Reagan Barba – eluded arrest during the buy-bust operation conducted by joint operatives of the PDEA-Regional Special Enforcement Team and Tabaco City Police Station around 5 p.m. Wednesday in Barangay Bogñabong, this city.
During the buy-bust, the operatives seized two knot-tied transparent plastic bags containing suspected “shabu” weighing more or less than 100 grams; several paraphernalia; Alexis’ an OTS ID; and a .45-caliber pistol.
Frivaldo, Alexis is in the illegal drugs watchlist of the Philippine National Police (PNP) Directorate for Investigation and tagged by investigators as a suspect in a shooting incident in Barangay Comon, here last August 17.
