SAN ANTONIO, Texas, November 9, 2009 (AFP) - Argentine guard Manu Ginobili scored 36 points and the San Antonio Spurs defeated Toronto 131-124 on Monday, pulling to 3-3 on the season with two injured starters on the bench.

Ginobili struck for four 3-pointers in the fourth quarter to lift San Antonio to victory.

The Spurs were without Tim Duncan and Tony Parker, each sidelined by a swollen left ankle, but had enough firepower to down the Raptors as Richard Jefferson scored 24 points and George Hill added 22 in support of Ginobili.

Duncan played 35 minutes and scored 14 points in a loss Friday at Portland. An MRI on Duncan's ankle showed no structural damage, just the swelling, while French guard Parker rolled his ankle in the second quarter against Portland.

The Raptors led 95-93 entering the fourth quarter but the Spurs outscored Toronto down the stretch for the victory.

Chris Bosh led the Raptors with 32 points while Turkey's Hedo Turkoglu added 20 and Italy's Andrea Bargnani contributed 17 for Toronto.
