Bar exam results to be released tomorrow

By Rey Panaligan The Supreme Court (SC) is set to meet as a full court tomorrow (April 26) for the release of the results of the 2017 bar examinations. (MANILA BULLETIN) (MANILA BULLETIN) Justice Lucas P. Bersamin is the chair of the committee on the examinations held on four Sundays last November at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila. ”The names of successful examinees will be flashed on screen at the SC quadrangle (on Padre Faura St., Ermita, Manila) and will also be posted to the SC website,” the SC earlier announced. A total of 7,227 law graduates all over the country were admitted to take the bar examinations. It was not immediately known if all of them actually finished the examinations on eight subjects. SC records showed that 7,270 law graduates initially applied to take the bar examinations but 13 applicants were denied while 30 others withdrew their applications. The number of examinees in 2017 was higher than those in 2015 and 2016 with 6,605 and 6,344 examinees, respectively. A total of 3,747 examinees passed the 2016 bar examinations which was chaired by Justice Presbitero J. Velasco Jr.
