1. Stand up straight. It’s the simplest tip, but we usually forget to do so. Perfect your posture, and you’ll look like you’ve lost 10 pounds in a snap.

2. Layered hair, with strands framing your face, has been in trend for more than a decade. Face framing gives a slimming effect, most especially on those with a round face.

3. When it comes to hair, go for volume. Get a perm, or do it on your own by tying your towel-dried hair into a bun for a few hours. Don’t forget to apply mousse before doing so. Let hair loose after, and you’ll have sexy curls.

4. Ever wonder why everyone who just came from the beach looked thinner than when they left despite the sumptuous seaside delicacies? It’s because of their sexy tan. You can also try sunless tanning lotions such as Shiseido’s which people swear by.

5. Stick to solid colors. Avoid prints and patterns as they make you look heavier. Wearing darker shades adds an illusion of a slimmer body frame as well. That’s why the little black dress (LBD) is a mainstay and a staple must-have in every woman’s closet.

6. Wearing tops or dresses with V-necklines creates the appearance of a thinner waistline. Jackets with one-button closures do the trick, too!

7. Ill-fitting dresses can make you look fatter than you really are—be it a size smaller or a size bigger. If it doesn’t fit you, then don’t buy it.

8. For jeans and pants, make sure that the hem of your pants falls just right around the heel of your shoes. Anything longer or shorter, will make you look wider.

9. The longer your accessories are, the taller and thinner you’ll be. So stick to dangling earrings or long necklaces, they help lengthen your body. But don’t overdo this; pick just one: earrings or necklaces.

10. Try heels in any form: from stilettos to kitten heels, and even wedges. Do remember that the higher and thinner the heels, the taller and sexier your legs will be. Avoid shoes with straps as it cuts the length of your legs.
