Kapuso actress Iwa Moto is not only playing villain to “Darna” lead Marian Rivera but to incoming cast member Katrina Halili.

“Ang alam ko [ay] magkakalaban pa kami ni Katrina. Mabait kasi ang role niya dito. Kaibigan niya sila Narda, so malamang baka ipagtanggol niya [sila] laban sa’kin,” revealed the sexy actress who plays the nemesis Valentina in the said TV show.

Katrina was Black Darna in the 2005 version of the fantaserye which starred then-Kapuso Angel Locsin.

In the 2009 version, Iwa shared that Katrina will portray the role of Valentina’s half-sister.

“Magkapatid kami [referring to the character that Katrina plays] sa ama. Sinabi ng dad namin na kami 'yong dapat magkasama, pero in heart, mabait pa rin siya,”  Iwa said.

Also back on the series is Dennis Trillo who played Darna's love interest, Efren, in the previous version of the show. Now, Dennis is cast as Narda’s childhood friend, Pancho.

Iwa said the characters that Dennis and Katrina play in the latest version of “Darna” differ from the ones in the previous version so as to avoid comparison.

“Kasi kung gagawin namin 'yon, magiging pareho lang sa dati [na version ng ‘Darna’]. Si Katrina akala nila Black Darna siya papasok, [tapos] si Dennis, dati [siya si] Efren, ngayon, he’s Pancho,” she explained.

Meanwhile, in real life, Iwa confirmed that her rift withViva Hot Babe Sachie Sanders is no more.

“Nagka-ayos kami after niyang manganak. Eh ako naman [kasi] 'yong tipo ng tao na kahit awayin mo basta mabait ka at marunong makisama sa’kin, okay na ko dun,” she related.

It can be recalled that the two had a catfight last year when the Hot Babe alleged that Iwa ‘stole’ Michael Ablan from her.

“Basta ako hindi ako nanggugulo ng jowa ng may jowa,” Iwa maintained.

The young actress said she appreciates Michael’s protective nature “[kasi] mas gusto ko nga na binabantayan ako kaysa baka may mang-bastos.

She also lauds his broadmindedness when it comes to her admirers.

“Sabi niya, ‘Hayaan mo silang magka-crush sa’yo basta ba ako ang boyfriend mo.’”

Iwa graced the launch of PLDT myDSL’s “Ultimate Broadband Blowout” event at SM Mall of Asia last Nov. 14. Considered as the biggest PC and broadband event of the year, it will be staged next at SM North Edsa on Nov. 20-22 then at SM Bacoor on Nov. 27-29.
