Pacquiao holds a concert after Cotto bout
Prized pugilist Manny Pacquiao held a concert at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada mere two hours after crushing Miguel Cotto last Nov. 15.
Pacquiao, who earned his record seventh world title in seven different weight divisions that night, performed with a swollen ear wrapped in bandage, his head covered with a fedora.
He performed eight songs with a backing band together with guests Lito Camo, Martin Nievera, and “Britain’s Got Talent’s” semi-finalist Madonna Decena whose career the boxer is managing via his promotional team.
Decena and Pacquiao did a duet of Dan Hill’s “Sometimes When We Touch,” which the latter also performed a few weeks ago in the American show “Jimmy Kimmel Live.”
Pacquiao also sang a couple of his own songs including "Lahing Pinoy" and "Para Sa Iyo."
Tickets to Pacquiao’s show were sold at $40 apiece.
Talking about his history-making achievement, Pacquiao said, "It's unbelievable. I can't believe it. But I say nothing is impossible if you believe in God. Keep praying and nothing is impossible."
What's next for Pacquiao? His coach Freddie Roach hinted about Pacquiao running for Congress.
