Rigoberto Madera, 61, who prefers to be called simply as N.N.N or Najanan, is taking his Malacañang bid as his stepping stone to White House.

Should he win in the May, 2010 presidential elections, part of his plan is to succeed US President Barack Obama.

Madera, a teacher-preacher, was among the early birds who filed their certificates of candidacy (CoC) at the Commission on Elections (Comelec) Friday.

N.N.N. said he decided to run for the president because “God” wanted him to do so. He even showed to the media a survey conducted by “God” last October where he ranked number one, with former President Joseph “Erap” Estrada trailing him.

Another candidate for president is masseuse, Josefina Murillo, of Quezon City.

The 56-year-old Murillo said although running independently, she is praying that she’ll win the presidency so as to “save the people.”

Wendell Lope, a 34-year-old taxi driver, said he wants to be president because he can do a better job than the current crop of politicians.

Vicente Fabella, a businessman, is convinced that he alone can solve the country’s many problems.

Asked what he would do if the Comelec declares him a nuisance candidate, he said, the world might just come to an end.

“Magugunaw ang Pilipinas,” said Fabella.

But not everyone who filed their CoC Friday was accepted by the Comelec for various reasons.

Some were rejected because they failed to complete the documentary requirements.

As of 2 p.m. Friday only nine candidates for president and three for senators were accepted by the Comelec.

The filing for CoC will be from Nov. 20 to Dec. 1.
