Newly identified drug personality killed in Batangas shootout

By Lyka Manalo IBAAN, Batangas — An alleged newly identified drug personality was killed in a shootout with police while conducting an anti-illegal drugs operation here, Thursday night. (photo courtesy of Batangas PNP / MANILA BULLETIN) (photo courtesy of Batangas PNP / MANILA BULLETIN) A report from Batangas Police Provincial Office (BPPO) identified the slain suspect as Raymond Pateña, 35 years old. Report said that when Pateña noticed he was transacting with a policeman he allegedly drew his firearm and tried to evade his arrest which resulted in an armed encounter. The suspect was declared dead on arrival at the Queen Mary Hospital. Police recovered 9 sachets with suspected shabu, one cal.45 pistol, cellphone, P500 marked money and P1,210 cash.
