Suspected drug dealer slain in Pangasinan
MANAOAG, Pangasinan – A suspected drug dealer was shot to death by two still unidentified motorcycle-riding armed men in front of a billiards hall on Lamido Street, Poblacion here Friday evening.
Chief Inspector Benjamin Ariola, chief of the Manaoag Municipal Police Station, identified the victim as Teofilo Ramirez, who is facing charges of violation of the provisions of Republic Act (RA) 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Law before the Regional Trial Court (RTC), Branch 46, in Urdaneta City, Pangasinan.
Police said the victim was reportedly watching a billiards game when two still unidentified armed men alighted from a motorcycle and shot him.
After making sure that they were able to hit their target inside the billiards hall, the two suspects simply walked away from the crime scene, boarded a motorcycle parked near a Baptist Church, and sped towards an undisclosed direction.
Ariola said the victim was rushed by bystanders and responding policemen to a nearby hospital but he was pronounced dead on arrival.
