I encountered a hilarious experience last weekend. While eating at a restaurant, somebody approached me and introduced herself as Reagan. (Reagan ... Aguilar?! Anak ni Ka-Freddie?! Chos!) She recognized me (sa ganda kong ito!) and noticed my leftover sandwich. Reagan requested if she could have it. (kaloka ha, itake out ko pa naman sana!) All the while I thought she was joking but I could sense she was serious. I immediately decided to grant her wish. (at naka video kami kaya give ko na kesa ma-bash!) Reagan is social media’s Buraot Kween. (naburaot ako!) “Buraot means 'palahingi' and I became the Buraot Kween of SocMed when my first pambuburaot content (taken during Volleyball Nations League 2022 in Araneta Coliseum) posted on Tiktok got 7.7million views and still counting. Since then I started creating pambubutaot content with ramdom people and the engagement was overwhelming which made the viewers call me Buraot Kween. Moreover, BuraotSerye was created too as a response to the request of viewers for more pambuburaot content both posted on my Tiktok account and FB page,” Reagan explains. (mukhang may gustong kumalaban kay Nay Lolit Solis sa panghaharbat ha!) Reagan also reminded me of our "Eat Bulaga" stint together years ago. We were partners in the Quiz Vee segment. (actually di ko na maalala, pero may resibo syang video! So hindi naman gawa-gawa!) “Charlotte Dianco, founder, director and writer of Springfairy Entertainment Productions, has always been so supportive to me even before I became the Buraot Kween of Social Media. She gave me opportunities to play some characters in indie films and TV guestings," Reagan shares. (Bumaraot na, raketera pa!) Her buraot persona will celebrate its first anniversary next month. She admits providing content online is not an easy job. She used to present several concepts until she found the right theme for her followers. “The positive feedback and request of viewers for more content make me feel motivated and inspired to pursue what I have started as a content creator/vlogger. And of course, the trust of business owners to promote their products. “ (kumikitang kabuhayan si vakla!) Since she also gets showbiz projects, she hopes to penetrate the mainstream entertainment industry. “Yes, it is one of my dreams to be part of mainstream showbiz so I make it in my top list of priorities. I love to play the villain role 'coz it is challenging for me. I dream to be a host-comedian 'coz I really love to entertain live audience." (naku, mambuburaot ito ng mga artista!)
The Southern Luzon State University Quezon graduate dreams of collaborating with celebrities soon. (may pangarap na bituin!) “I dream of having my own talk show or game show to guest my celebrity/influencer friends and of course my favorite personalities in different fields (international and local ) like Beyonce, JLo, SB19, Regine Velasquez, Toni Gonzaga, Kaladkaren, Beks Batallion, Small Laude and moreeeee and not to forget, si Mr. Fu naburaot ko na kaya natupad na ang isang pangarap," Reagan says.
