After Iwa Moto paraded her svelte figure at the recent PLDT MyDSL UBB event at the SM Mall of Asia, she told the Manila Bulletin how she suffered just to get the body she wanted and the downsides of being a TV vixen.

“Kung may choice lang ako at wala ang handler ko, jeans and shirt lang ang susuotin ko. Lagi nga akong napapagalitan kasi I rarely dress up na talagang mag-effort na magpa-sexy,” the former “Starstruck” finalist said to a very small group of entertainment journalists. Iwa wore a tight-fitting, figure-flattering striking-red tube dress for the PLDT MyDSL UBB occasion.

TV’s Valentina said she had to contend with several perverts particularly when doing live gigs. This is why she prefers her non-showbiz boyfriend by her side. “Okay lang sa akin if people will think na guwardyado ako masyado ng boyfriend ko or that lagi kaming magkasama kasi mas mabuti na yung ganun at mas feel ko na safe ako.”

The fear, she said, emanated from unfortunate incidents. “May mga times kasi na nababastos ako. I remember there was this one time na talagang hinipuan ako sa dibdib. Hindi nga lang touch but the guy really grabbed my breast. It’s a good thing nandun yung boyfriend ko kaya binitbit niya yung lalaki at binigay sa bouncer for him to take it from there.”

Iwa now enjoys her slimmer figure which she got quite by accident. “Pumayat ako nung nagka-dengue ako. I was hospitalized for five days and just like that I started losing the pounds. Yun nga lang ang downside to it is lumiit din ang dibdib ko so yung part na yun medyo nakakadisappoint.”

Impending fight with Katrina Halili

Iwa will soon contend with Katrina Halili who joins the cast of “Darna.” Dennis Trillo recently joined the series. According to Iwa, Katrina will play Valentina’s sister Serpina, all grown up and with a mind of her own.

“Excited akong makatrabaho si Katrina sa ‘Darna’ at walang problema sa amin personally. Wala ring conflicts ang characters kasi the writers always know how to balance naman the roles particularly sa mga kalaban ni Darna. Hindi totoong may sapawan na mangyayari.”

Iwa assumed of their characters’ plot lines, “I think hindi kami magkakasundo ni Serpina. Feeling ko pa nga, maglalaban kami kasi may struggle yung character niya between good and evil compared kay Valentina na evil lang talaga.”

Katrina is expected to be seen on “Darna” come January.

PLDT back with 25 Days of Christmas

Last year, PLDT MyDSL launched what was one of the biggest Christmas TV blowouts in noontime history with its 25 Days of Christmas promo on “Eat Bulaga.”

This season, the dynamic and generous creative team of PLDT MyDSL headed by Gary Dujali just went a few steps higher with the current promo. Not only is MyDSL giving away laptops but other gadgets as well that subscribers could only wish for this Christmas.
