LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – The “Twilight” sequel scored the third-biggest opening weekend of all time at the North American box-office on Sunday, as millions of young women swooned over the complex love triangle involving a high school girl, a vampire and a werewolf. “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” earned an estimated $140.7 million during its first three days of release across the United States and Canada, closely held distributor Summit Entertainment said, crushing industry expectations.

Michael Jackson’s glove sells for $350,000 at auction

NEW YORK (Reuters) – Michael Jackson’s famous white glove sold for $350,000 at a memorabilia auction on Saturday, soaring far past pre-sale estimates, while a black jacket he wore during a 1989 world tour fetched $225,000. The Jackson memorabilia was the highlight of an auction of hundreds of rock n’ roll items, including many not associated with the “King of Pop,” who died in June.

Rihanna not dating Tristan Wilds, but is a ‘Flirty Girl’

Rihanna has laughed off new rumors she’s dating “90210” actor Tristan Wilds, insisting she “doesn’t even have his number.”

The hitmaker, 21, has been fighting false claims about her love life since splitting from Chris Brown after their violent bust-up in February.

The latest reports alleged TV star Wilds is the new object of her affections – but Rihanna barely knows him.

She says, “This is funny: I had a house party, and you know how you hold house parties and people come over you don’t even know? He came by, brought his friends and everyone was hanging out, but I don’t even have his number. So I don’t know how I could be dating him.”

During her revealing interview on TV earlier this month, Rihanna admitted she was happily single because dating after her ordeal with Brown was just “too much.”

But that hasn’t stopped the Bajan beauty from using her womanly charms to her advantage. She adds, “No, (I’m not dating). I’m a very flirty girl, though.”

And she’s steering clear of getting romantically involved with anyone for the time being so she can concentrate on her pop comeback. She adds, “I don’t think I have all the time for a commitment right now, or the energy. A relationship is another life, another career, really.”

Rihanna’s album “Rated R,” her first since the February incident, is due for release next week. (Starpulse.com)
