Vice President Leni Robredo continues to provide relief goods to victims of typhoon “Ulysses,” particularly to those staying in various evacuation centers.

On Friday, she had a speaking engagement in the morning and visited affected communities afterwards.
“Speaking engagement in the morning, and the rest of the day ahead visiting communities," Robredo said in a Twitter post.
"Nagbaon na kami para sure,” added Robredo on Twitter, referring to the fish crackers they have as snack on their way to evacuation centers.
Robredo provided hot “lugaw” or rice porridge to evacuees. “May dala kaming lugaw (We’re bringing porridge),” she said.
Lugaw, also “Leni Lugaw” or “Lugaw Leni,” is a derisive nickname used by her detractors on social media after she was seen selling the dish to raise funds for her vice presidential bid in the 2016 elections.
Other relief items provided by Leni to evacuees were blankets, diapers, and face masks donated by donors and other partners of the Office of the Vice President.
Robredo enjoined the public to help those who are still reeling from the effects of the typhoon by donating basic necessities such as clothes, slippers, food items, and blankets.
She noted that donations do not necessarily have to be coursed through her office.
Interested donors may reach out to other groups who also organize relief operations, Robredo said.
