KC Concepcion-Sharon Cuneta duet in the works
Sony Music is planning to come out with “Megadaughter” KC Concepcion's second album in a month's time.
This was revealed in an interview recently by Vic Valenciano, Artist and Repertoire (A&R) Director of the label. He said the label is aiming to make Concepcion’s sophomore offering vastly different from her first. Among their many plans to accomplish this is having Concepcion duet with her mom, Sharon Cuneta.
"We’re thinking of it. It’s part of our plan,” Valenciano disclosed.
Valenciano let slip that Concepcion’s debut album, "a.k.a. Cassandra", has made Philippine music history, as its single "Imposible,” have already been downloaded a million times.
"KC has the most number of downloads ever in the Philippines. Nobody has done that yet. Si KC pa lang. 'Imposible' was that big a hit," Valenciano emphasized.
Valenciano attributed the album’s continued success to Concepcion’s growing popularity.
"KC is KC even if she's not performing or acting…she's really popular," the executive said.
Valenciano admitted, though, that there is still room for growth.
"Her following is getting bigger and we want to tap into that," he said.
