Leni is recipient of Pillar of Hope award from ETON School
Vice President Leni Robredo was awarded this year’s Pillar of Hope Award from the ETON International School.

ETON Founder and President Jacqueline Marzan Tolentino presented the award to Robredo at the Quezon City Reception House where she holds office.
In a Facebook post, Tolentino said Robredo was recognized by ETON for her “servant leadership” in reaching out to poor Filipinos.
“Her nonstop efforts to reach the last, the least, and the lost is a source of inspiration to many Filipinos,” Tolentino said.
“She is a symbol of hope for our generation in her simplicity, humility, and service,” she added.
Robredo was voted to receive the award by the entire school body for “being their hero in times of crisis.”
Since the onset of the coronavirus pandemic in March, Robredo has spearheaded various initiatives like raising donations for the purchase of health workers’ protective gear, COVID-19 testing kits, and providing free shuttle service and dormitories for frontliners, among others.
She has been running her office’s response to the health crisis by helping various sectors through private partnerships.
