Boxing legend Manny Pacquiao probably felt the magnitude of the rumor concerning him and leading lady Krista Ranillo that he is making extra effort in showing affection for his wife Jinkee. During the recent GMA Network-spearheaded grand victory party at MOA, the Filipino champ gave his spouse a bouquet of flowers and even sang a song for her.

The gestures, even more emphasized by Manny seemingly making sure he’d mention Jinkee’s name as one of those he had to thank for in his latest victory, drew applauses from the crowd gathered to welcome the country’s beloved hero.

“Maraming salamat sa mga sumusuporta sa akin, my wife Jinkee...” he immediately said as soon as he held a microphone.

During his short set with the MP Band, he performed David Pomeranz’s “Born For You,” obviously dedicating it to his wife who days ago has been shown crying in a footage allegedly because of Manny’s rumored affair with the sexy actress who is daughter to actor Mat Ranillo III.

Entitled “Pitong Panalo ni Pacquiao,” the mall show featured numbers from Kapuso stars and noted singers such as Kyla, Jay-R, Rich Asuncion, Chynna Hortaleza, Ryza Cenon, and Rainier Castillo. First class vocalists Wency Cornejo, Jay Durias, and Luke Mejares also joined the occasion hosted by Arnel Ignacio and Carla Abellana.

Top performer of the day was another world-class figure in Arnel Pineda who appropriately and competently sang Queen’s “We Are The Champions.”

“Dati si Ali one in a million. Ngayon si Manny one in 7.2 billion!” exclaimed DENR Secretary Lito Atienza who was also at the venue along with a host of GMA-7 executives including GMA’s EVP and COO Gilberto Duavit Jr., and SVP for Entertainment TV Group Wilma Galvante.

When asked if Jinkee still felt nervous during the fight (against Miguel Cotto) with his husband clearly ahead in points, she replied, “Siyempre, kinakabahan pa rin.” To this, the Pacman countered, “Gusto ko na nga tapusin. Kaso di ko matapos-tapos.”

The Kapuso endorser has two top-rating shows with his mother network, “Pinoy Records” and “Show Me Da Manny.” He showcases his natural touch for comedy via the latter.

That’s why he knew what to say about his conquest of Cotto. “Natalo ang kuto sa shampoo,” he says, in reference to his shampoo commercial and his opponent’s name sounding like how that ‘hair pest’ is called in Tagalog.
