In a statement, Jollibee said The Macau branch is the most recent among its international store openings scheduled this year.
JFC continues to grow in other countries, serving great-tasting food and warm Jollibee service not only to Filipino communities abroad but also to the locals.
Like in the Philippines, Jollibee has succeeded in the taste and preference of markets such as Vietnam, Brunei, Singapore, and Hong Kong.
“Today is an important milestone in our Company’s journey to become one of the top five restaurant companies in the world,” said JFC Chief Executive Officer Ernesto Tanmantiong.
He added that, “Macau is home to over 40,000 Filipinos and we are only too happy to bring them ‘a taste of home’, as well as share Jollibee’s signature brand of great tasting food and friendly service with the warm people of Macau.”
The milestone store opening is part of JFC’s target to open 50 stores in Macau and Hong Kong in five years time.
Jollibee President and Head of International Business for EMEAA (Europe, Middle East, Asia and Australia) Dennis Flores said that, “at Jollibee, we are dedicated to spread the joy of eating to everyone and we continue to fulfill this by expanding our horizons to a global market. With more than 1,300 Jollibee brand stores globally, we are ecstatic to bring our unique brand of joy to families everywhere in Asia.”
Pipelined for the second half of the year are Jollibee’s first stores in Manhattan (second store in New York) and in London, the United Kingdom. Soon after, Jollibee will be opening its first store in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia.
