High-value business process outsourcing (BPO) services provider StarTek recently ranked among the top 10 in five categories in the Global Top Outsourcer Ranking Awards conducted by ContactCenterWorld.com.

The company was evaluated alongside major tier-one contact center outsourcing companies. Among inbound outsourcers, business-to-business agents ranked StarTek sixth. Agents serving the Americas gave it seventh place among inbound outsourcers.

By e-mail volume, StarTek was voted eighth for inbound outsourcers; 10th in the number of inbound agents; 10th among inbound outsourcers by number of agents serving the Asia Pacific region and 12th among inbound outsourcers by number of business-to-customer agents.

The company recently posted significant growth in its third quarter, expanding 5.22% from the third quarter of 2008 and recording US$72.5 million in revenues.

StarTek’s primary presence in Asia, its 1,100-seat Makati facility in the Philippines, demonstrated robust growth.

The company expects the Makati facility to be at capacity by early next year and is considering adding a second site in the Philippines in the second half of the year.

“Despite the effects of the economic downturn, we have expanded in North America, Costa Rica, and the Philippines,” remarked StarTek CEO and President Larry Jones.

The Top Outsourcer Ranking Awards is organized by ContactCenterWorld.com and was first conduct in 2006. The Awards has become a key reference for companies seeking to do business with the top outsourcers in the industry and is participated in by leading and upcoming outsourcing companies around the world.
