Janno Gibbs issues statement on passing of his father actor Ronaldo Valdez

Singer and actor Janno Gibbs has confirmed that his father veteran actor Ronaldo Valdez has passed away. He was 76.

"It is with great sorrow that I confirm my father's passing. The family would like to request that you respect out privacy and grieving moment. Your prayers and condolences are much apprieciated" wrote Janno on his post  on Monday, Dec. 18. 

Janno did not say the cause of his father's death.

 


Showbiz personalities including, Kathryn Bernardo, Dimples Romana, Gary Valenciano paid tribute to the veteran actor.

 

Ronaldo was known for his remarkable characters in the movies "Seven Sundays", "Labs Kita, Okey Ka Lang", and "Cedie." He was last seen in the Kapamilya series "Too Good To Be True." 

Starting his career in mid-60's, Ronaldo became one of the most trusted and well-known actors in local showbiz. His versatility was evident in his performances, as he took on roles that varied from comedy, action and other genres.
