Isabela City was placed under General Community Quarantine (GCQ) status from May 28 to June 10 this year following a surge of COVID-19 cases in the city.
Isabela Mayor Djalia Turabin Hataman issued Executive Order 15 Thursday, May 27, declaring the GCQ status in the city and prescribing guidelines for its implementation.

In a meeting of the Isabela Covid Task Force on May 27, City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Officer Uso Dan I Salasim confirmed the sudden rise in COVID cases for the first quarter of this year.
Hospital beds for COVID patients are running low due to the continuous cases reported daily.
The local government has imposed curfew hours from 9pm to 5 a.m. to limit the movement of residents.
Isabela City has 104 active COVID cases as of May 26. The city has 564 COVID cases since the start of the pandemic.
The change in Isabela City’s quarantine status was based on Resolution No. 19 dated May 19, 2021 passed by the Regional Interagency Quarantine Task Force-IX.
