It’s unbelievable how fast Christmas holidays are approaching! HBO offers movies which warm the heart and tickle the funny bone during this season of sharing and caring.

Amber Tamblyn, America Ferrera, Blake Lively and Alexis Bledel reunite onscreen in “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2” as the best friends audiences fell in love with three years ago. Based on Ann Brashares’ best-selling series of novels about four young women who share an unbreakable bond through the unpredictable events of their lives, “The Sisterhood of The Traveling Pants 2” premieres on Tuesday, Dec. 15 at 9 p.m. on HBO.

Have you ever felt crippled by the actions of your brother or sister, that no matter what you do you can’t quite compare? Try asking Fred Claus, who has lived his entire life in his brother’s very large shadow. Fred tried, but could hardly live up to the example set by the younger Nicholas, who was just perfect. Starring Vince Vaughn as Fred, Paul Giamatti as Nicholas and including Miranda Richardson, Elizabeth Banks, Rachel Weisz, Kathy Bates and Kevin Spacey, “Fred Claus” premieres on Dec. 20 at 9 p.m. on HBO.

The beloved childrens’ Christmas story by Dr. Seuss returns! Inside a snowflake, high atop Mt. Crumpit, just north of town, a certain cave-dwelling curmudgeon watches the Christmas-adoring Whos of Whoville as they make their frantic holiday preparations. This is the Grinch, and he is positively sick of those eggnog-sucking cheermongers. Why is the Grinch so, well... so Grinchy? Nobody knows, not even his lone companion, the endlessly oppressed canine Max. When he brings a bit of his own special Christmas grinching into Whoville, he encounters little Cindy Lou Who, lone among the Whos for thinking everyone in town has lost the meaning of Christmas in all the shopping and hoopla. So Cindy takes matters into her own hands, trying to find out everything she can about the Grinch. Golden Globe awardee Jim Carrey plays the title role with the support of Christine Baranski, Bill Irwin, Molly Shannon, Jeffrey Tambor, Frank Welker and Taylor Momsen as the adorable Cindy Lou. Narrated by Academy Award winner Anthony Hopkins (“Beowulf”), “The Grinch” premieres on Dec. 21 at 9 p.m. on HBO.

Modern-day fairy tale romances always seem to appeal to hearts the most during the holidays. Now, in a world of online romance, where things may not be what they seem, true love will win, dreams will come true and a Prince Charming in jeans will step forward to win one girl’s heart. Selena Gomez and Andrew Seeley dance into happily ever after on “Another Cinderella Story,” premiering on Dec. 22, 9 p.m. on HBO.

From the creators of 2002’s wildly successful “Jonah: A VeggieTales Movie” comes a new story of heroism in the beloved “VeggieTales World.” Follow the comic swashbuckling action of three animated veggie pals who reluctantly set sail for adventure and discover that real heroes don’t have to be tall, strong, handsome… or even human! Featuring the voices of VeggieTales creators Phil Vischer and Mike Nawrocki, “The Pirates Who Don’t Do Anything: A VeggieTales Movie” premieres on Dec. 29, 9 p.m. on HBO.
