No reports on Pinoys affected by Pakistan flooding, says DFA
There are no reports of Filipinos affected by the devastating floods in Pakistan as of Saturday, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said.

In a statement on Sunday, Aug. 28, the DFA said so far there are "no reports of affected Filipinos from Sindh and Punjab."
The department said the Philippine Embassy in Islamabad is still waiting for updates on the situation of Filipinos in one of the most affected areas, Balochistan.
It said that most affected provinces are Sindh and Balochistan.
Nearly 1,000 people died and more than 30 million are badly affected by the floods caused by strong monsoon rains in Pakistan. This prompted the foreign country to declare a national emergency. It has also appealed for international assistance.
According to DFA, there are around 3,000 Filipinos in Pakistan. Ninety percent of them are household service workers while the remaining are professionals and international organization staff.
