It looks like “American Idol” has more holes to fill than the already huge one. The show has to face with Simon Cowell announcing that this season 9 will be his last Idol.

Ellen DeGeneres told Entertainment Weekly that she will also leave the show if Simon goes. “If Simon goes, I go! I will not be there without Simon. I’ll be like money on his back wrapped around his neck: You will not go!”

This, DeGeneres said despite having signed a five-season contract with the show. She replaced Paula Abdul in the ongoing season.

When asked to react to Ellen’s statement, Cowell told Entertainment Weekly, “I think right now we have to concentrate on the next season and just get through that and worry about everything else afterwards.”

Ellen is expected to debut on AI come Hollywood Week.

Rihanna denies having herpes

Rihanna has lashed out at vicious Internet gossip which suggested ex-boyfriend Chris Brown beat her after she contracted a cold sore on her lip – angrily insisting the blemish is a scar.

Nasty online reports circulated following Brown’s attack on the beauty in February last year, alleging Brown lashed out at his then lover after spotting a cold sore on her lip – a sign that can indicate the sufferer has sexually transmitted virus herpes.

And Rihanna is fuming she has to put up with such rumors especially as the alleged cold sore is actually a scar she has had for most of her life.

The star tells GQ magazine, “It’s not true. It’s a f---ing scar. On my lip. That’s there every day of my life.” (Starpulse.com)

Katy Perry pregnant?

Katy Perry has sent rumors rocketing after hinting she may be expecting a baby with boyfriend Russell Brand.

The hitmaker has been dating Brand since September and is now engaged to the funnyman after he proposed on New Year’s Eve during a sun-soaked vacation in India.

And now Perry has sparked reports the pair is set to start a family after posting a cryptic message on social networking site Twitter.com.

She writes, “Hey RustyRockets (Brand) I heard ur prego-ed (sic). I love you RustyRockets.”

The star then added messages about her food cravings while in India.

A source tells Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper, “Russell and Katy have fallen head over heels for each other... He has already told us he doesn’t want to waste time (starting a family). We’d be thrilled if they are having babies together.”

Agents for both Perry and Brand have refused to confirm or deny whether the singer is pregnant. (Starpulse.com)

Terrence Howard splits from fiancee

“Iron Man” star Terrence Howard has split from his actress fiancee Zulay Henao. The 40-year-old actor began dating the Colombian beauty – his co-star in 2009 movie “Fighting” – in 2007 and proposed to Henao last May in Prague, Czech Republic.

The couple has never confirmed its relationship until now, but Howard reveals he’s no longer with the 30-year-old.

When asked if he’s set to wed Henao, he tells Sister 2 Sister magazine, “No, that didn’t work out.”

Howard broke the news of his engagement to WENN in a Prague bar.
Howard was previously romantically linked to his ex-wife Lori McCommas. They ended their 14-year marriage in 2003, but the actor successfully wooed her back and they remarried, only to split for good soon after.
