BI intercepts alleged Australian hacker at NAIA

The Bureau of Immigration (BI) has barred the attempt of an alleged Australian hacker to enter the country.

In a report to BI Commissioner Norman Tansingco, the BI’s border control and enforcement unit (BCIU) said Risteski Borche, 40, was intercepted at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport shortly after disembarking from a Cebu Pacific flight from Sydney last December 21.

Risteski is an Australian of Macedonian descent, and is subject of an Interpol Red Notice.

Based on the BI report, Risteski is wanted in Macedonia for unauthorized entry into its computer system in violation of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Macedonia.

He faces a four-year jail term if convicted of the crime.

Tansingco said he will be deported back to Australia and barred from returning.
