2 brothers stabbed on New Year's Eve in Batangas

AGONCILLO, Batangas – Two brothers were stabbed by their drinking buddy on New Year’s Eve in Sitio Tuba, Barangay Banyaga, this town.

Police identified the victims as Jovel Necerio, 33, and Erwin Necerio, 25.

The Necerios and the suspect, “Abraham,” 49, were having a drinking spree to celebrate the New Year when a misunderstanding ensued.

Abraham left and returned with a kitchen knife and stabbed Jovel. Erwin pacified the suspect but he, too, was stabbed.

Jovel wrested the knife from Abraham and stabbed the suspect.

The Necerios and Abraham were taken to the Metro Lemery Medical Center in Lemery, Batangas. Abraham was later transferred to the Batangas Regional Hospital in Batangas City where he is under hospital arrest.

Police recovered the kitchen knife.
