Some 3,000 riders and enthusiasts, with more than 50 clubs present, gathered in Tagaytay for a day of fun-filled activities as part of the Honda Riders Convention 2019 Luzon Leg. The event was held at the Tagaytay International Convention Center last July 20, 2019. One of the main highlights of the event was the showcasing of Honda’s Automatic motorcycle models and Neo Sports Big Bikes. These models were designed to suit the commuting needs of students, young professionals, and serious sports riders. The test ride activity allowed them to personally experience these models' handling and features in a specially-designed test course. Riders also had the opportunity to participate in various activities geared towards their interests. The Riders Skills Challenge had those present test their motorcycle handling ability in another specially-designed course for the activity. There was also a Motor Show that allowed enthusiasts to showcase their beautifully and creatively-customized motorcycles in various categories. Besides bikes, riders also got to show off their personal qualities in competitions like “Riders Got Talent” and “Miss Honda Riders Con 2019” segments held during the event. Besides these standard programs held at every Riders Convention, there were also new additions such as the Club Meet-up, Social Media Photo Contest, and YFF Rider Image Contest. The venue also featured special areas like the Brotherhood Wall, Trade Partners Selling, Relaxation with Pampering Stations, Team-building sessions, Safety Riding Seminar in HSDC booths. Later in the day, various clubs were recognized in a special awarding ceremony for their various achievements. These included special recognitions like Farthest and Biggest Delegation awards. The night was capped with a live performance by the band, Hale. The Honda Riders Convention is one of the many activities that Honda develops to show their appreciation to its loyal riders. “We consider our riders as our main source of inspiration when designing and innovating new features for our motorcycles. That is why we’d like to give back to these communities by inviting them to a fun-filled event that combines camaraderie, support, passion, and commitment,” said HPI Asst. Vice President for Sales & Marketing & Supply Chain Management, Jomel Jerezo. With the goal to reach more Filipinos throughout the year, Honda will also hold a leg of the Riders Convention in Visayas and Mindanao in the upcoming months. The riding communities in the Philippines have been growing as both riders and riding enthusiasts share and spread their love for motorcycles. While these groups may be scattered across the country, Honda hopes to unite their passion with through these events.
