DUMAGUETE CITY (PNA) — A full-blast investigation is being conducted by the provincial government of Negros Oriental with regards to complaints against the Provincial Bids and Awards (PBAC) committee.

This stemmed from a letter complaint that came from an anonymous sender accusing the PBAC of questionable transactions. Particularly mentioned in the complaint is theChairman of the PBAC Secretariat, Teodoro Labrador.

Provincial Legal Counsel Erwin Vergara, regarding the complaint valid and serious, was prompted to schedule a meeting with suppliers. Vergara wanted to know directly from them their problems and concerns and if they have recommendations or suggestions in instituting reforms in the system for more transparent results.
