Kris Aquino reveals her and son Bimby's Covid-19 test results

By now, someone we know has been infected with Covid-19, and it has gotten real with less than three degrees of separation. It has hit closer to home for Kris Aquino, with an Instagram post update of what has happened within her circle.

“It’s been a scary month, four people who had regular, close contact with Bimby and me all tested positive for Covid-19 middle of August. Three of them have recovered, one is still battling this cruel virus.”

Fortunately, her eldest son Josh was in Tarlac when this happened. But both Kris and Bimby have lower immune systems due to Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria, an autoimmune disease and asthma, respectively. This makes them high risk when it comes to being infected with the virus. So when they found out that the people they were with were positive, they took the test and she revealed in her post that their results came out negative. “We were strictly isolated for two weeks and we had the ECLIA (electrochemiluminescence immunoassay analyzer) test done to be sure we weren’t asymptomatic, and again, we were negative. In the big picture of life, we are still fortunate.”
