For the first time in recent memory, no coronavirus disease (COVID-19) fatality was reported by the Department of Health (DOH) even if the number of new cases soared to 6,845 on Friday, July 23, 2021.
This developed as the government announced a flurry of adjustments to quarantine restrictions and border controls in a bid to arrest the spread of the COVID-19 Delta variant.
