Cops assist boy with hydrocephalus, build home for a senior citizen in Palawan

Three months after he was born, the parents of now seven-year old boy Johnson Galicia in Sofronio Española town of Palawan noticed that his head had been abnormally becoming bigger. They later found out that Johnson was suffering from hydrocephalus which prompted them to seek the assistance for his medication—a call for assistance that reached the 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company of the Palawan Police Provincial Office.                                                      photo: PRO4B
It was then that Lt. Col. Klinton Rex Jamoro immediately ordered to mobilize some of his men to send assistance and likewise help in raising funds for the medication of Johnson. Police Brig. Gen. Joel B. Doria, director of the Police Regional Office 4B, lauded his men for the act of good deed, saying such a move is the true meaning of public service and the police-community relations. Doria earlier explained that police service is not confined to the enforcement of law and implementing security measures, saying effective policing also rests in good relationships with the community that include showing the people that they care and are ready to assist in times of need. The same admiration was issued by Doria to the elements of the 401st Maneuver Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion under Police Capt. Joseph Erpelo helped senior citizen Francisca Repecio in rebuilding her home that was damaged by the recent typhoon which recently struck Taytay town of Palawan.                                                      photo: PRO4B Erpelo’s men had just completed building a function of a hall of a community in Taytay town when they were informed of the deplorable condition of Repecio. The policemen then raised a fund to buy materials and later assisted in rebuilding Repecio’s house. Meanwhile, the PNP Officers’ Ladies Club headed by Mrs. Susan Doria led the gift-giving to around 48 students of the Special Education of the Victoria Central School in Victoria town of Oriental Mindoro.
