Public school teacher arrested for selling prohibited drugs in Cagayan
CAGAYAN -- A public school teacher was nabbed by joint anti-drug operatives of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Cagayan and Philippine National Police (PNP)Regional Drug Enforcement Unit (RDEU), during a buy-bust operation on Monday afternoon (May 2) at Zone 2, Redondo, Iguig, Cagayan.
The suspect, Felipe Pamittan Sedano Jr, 52, and resident of Malabbac, Iguig, Cagayan was considered a high value target, being a government employee. He was even wearing his school uniform when arrested by the operatives.
He was caught selling six pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline weighing 1 gram.
The illegal drugs sold to one of the operatives who acted as poseur buyer has an estimated market value of P6,800).
Also confiscated during the operation were black Oppo cellular phone, one unit black motorcycle, and the buy-bust money.
Sedano had been placed under surveillance due to some reports on his illegal activities.
Sedano is now under the custody of PDEA II.
PDEA II said he will be charged for violation of Section 5, Article II of RA 9165.
