The southwest monsoon or "habagat," enhanced by Typhoon Fabian, has dumped heavy rains in parts of Luzon, triggering floods and forcing the suspension of some classes and work in offices.

The latest weather disturbance comes as the country continued to record more coronavirus cases, including infections arising from the highly transmissible Delta variant.
